Welcome to the Mount Allison Sexual Health Research Lab! Established in 2010 by Dr. Lisa Dawn Hamilton, the MASHLab is located in the Crabtree building (room G61) on the Mount Allison University Campus in Sackville, NB. Our goal is to examine the relationships between environmental, hormonal and psychological factors on sexual health and sexual functioning.

If you would like to participate in one of our current studies or you have interest in our research, please feel free to contact the laboratory by phone or email.
All calls and e-mails are strictly confidential.

Are you ACE on Campus?

Are you a student who identifies as being asexual? If so, we would like to hear about your experiences of being asexual at Mount Allison! A research project is currently being conducted through Dr. Lisa Dawn Hamilton’s MASHLab (Mount Allison Sexual Health) with the goal of understanding the social experiences of asexual individuals in the university environment. Participation involves taking part in a one-on-one interview conducted through Microsoft Teams (or in-person, if that’s your preference) discussing your personal experiences of being asexual. The identity of participants will be kept completely anonymous, and participation will be rewarded with a $30 Amazon gift card. If you have any questions or are interested in participating, don’t hesitate to reach out to Student Investigator Emma at pewebbmueller@mta.ca or Research Supervisor Dr. Hamilton at ldhamilton@mta.ca.
